What is DistShaper?

DIstShaper is an interactive tool designed to help you explore the properties of discrete and continuous probability distributions.

Features:

  • Visualize the shape of random samples generated from selected distributions.
  • Compute summary statistics of samples of various sizes and distributions.
  • Explore and build understanding of the central limit theorem.
  • Generate samples from distributions with any shape specified by the user.

Authors

This app has been developed by Thisaakhya Jayakody and Paul Fijn attached to the School of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Melbourne using the R Shiny framework with the aim of making the understanding of statistical concepts more interactive and engaging.
